Lumenoise | Niklas Roy

Lumenoise is a light pen, which turns your old CRT-TV into an audiovisual synthesizer. You paint abstract geometric patterns and sounds directly onto the screen. It is a playful and performative device, as anything that you do will cause an instantaneous reflection in the gadget’s sonic and visual output.

Hand Cave Painting Sonified | Dara O Shayda

Each image and subsequent image processing are left as nature and untouched as possible. All sounds from clicks echoing in a cave, to the voyage, to the chant are produced from the said images and nothing else.

Sonic Water | Elfenmaschine

The installation is very simple: A sound signal is used to vibrate a speaker. On top of the speaker membrane we have applied a plate and on the plate we have then glued an ordinary bottle cap. The bottle cap (or the whole plate) is filled with water. The water works as a flexible three-dimensional sculpture mass, that translates the sound into pictures. The vibration of the speaker creates one of a kind water-sound-images in response to the respective sound impulse - from chaotic patterns to standing mandala-like waves.

Laser Sound Scans | Peter Van Riper

The Laser Sound Scans, as he called them, were musical compositions translated to laser pulses and recorded on a rear projection screen by a digital camera. Although simple, they are among the most beautiful pieces he produced.

Audiomurale

The Audiomurale project is set on the wall of a townhouse at Rzeznicka Street in the Old Town district of Elblag (Poland). Extensively damaged at the end of World War II, Elblag's Old Town waited until the 1980's for major reconstruction works ... For the purposes of the project, we conducted interviews with passers-by ... Selected opinions – including some unprintable remarks – were transferred onto a blank wall of a townhouse in the form of spectrograms (i.e. sound wave patterns).
